Eddy Rose Books (“Eddy Rose,” “we,” “us,” “our”) operates eddyrose.com and the Eddy Rose newsletter, sign-up forms, and Kickstarter campaigns. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

– Information you give us directly: your name and email address when you sign up for the newsletter, request a free story or reader magnet, join a giveaway, or contact us.
– Information collected automatically: basic technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) if our website or sign-up forms use cookies or analytics.
– Kickstarter: if you back a project on Kickstarter, Kickstarter collects and processes your information under its own privacy policy. We only see what Kickstarter shares with creators — your name, pledge details, shipping address (for reward fulfilment), and any messages you send us.
3. How we use your information
– To send the newsletter and any free stories or reader magnets you sign up for.
– To manage giveaways, ARC teams, and reader engagement.
– To fulfil Kickstarter rewards, including shipping physical rewards and delivering digital ones.
– To improve our website and communications.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for anything beyond what’s described here.
4. Email delivery — MailerLite
We use MailerLite (mailerlite.com) to manage our mailing list and send newsletters. When you sign up, your name and email address are stored on MailerLite’s servers, primarily located in the EU. MailerLite acts as our data processor and maintains its own security and privacy practices — see MailerLite’s Privacy Policy at mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as you remain subscribed, plus a reasonable period afterward in case you resubscribe, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or a longer period is required by law.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email eddy@eddyrose.com or click unsubscribe in any newsletter. We’ll respond within a reasonable time.
7. International data transfers
MailerLite’s servers are located in the EU. If you’re outside the EU, your information may be transferred there for the purpose of sending you email.
8. Children’s privacy
Our newsletter and website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
