Meet the Author

Eddy Rose writes grimdark fantasy filled with gladiators, grit, and romance. Her characters are morally grey, complex humans with emotional depth, strong character development, and often a fatal lack of social skills. She enjoys creating worlds full of deadly arenas, questionable social structures, rich lore, unique creatures, and maps she designs herself as a budding cartographer.

Eddy is a psychologist by day, author by night—and you can ask her characters how they feel about being written by a shrink (hint: they’re not thrilled). Her readers blame her training for being good at making people cry, and she’s probably guilty of that.

When she’s not working, you can (try to) find Eddy somewhere on the Gold Coast, Queensland—but you’ll probably fail, because she’s very good at hiding from people. Unless you’re her husband or son, who are exceptionally talented at tracking her. Jokes aside, she adores her reader community and will spoil you with free short stories and maps if you join her newsletter.
