Purebred Beasts: The Weapons of Chinderia

In this post, we explore one of the most intriguing and fearsome aspects of this universe: the purebred beasts. These formidable warriors are central to the dark and captivating setting of Chinderia, and understanding them will enhance your journey through the series.

What Are Purebred Beasts?

Bred and trained from birth, purebred beasts are the ultimate warriors, designed to fight and entertain the masses in the blood-soaked arenas. The term “purebred” signifies their carefully controlled lineage, ensuring that they possess the strength, agility, and resilience needed to excel in battle. They are the most valuable assets – slaves – in all of Chinderia.

From a young age, purebred beasts are subjected to rigorous training regimens that push their physical and mental limits. This training is designed to strip away any semblance of personal identity, molding them into obedient and efficient fighters. The process is grueling and dehumanizing, ensuring that only the strongest and most resilient survive.

Physical and Mental Conditioning

The conditioning of purebred beasts goes beyond physical training. Not only they are subjected to mental conditioning, they are also bound by a forbidden magic, the Worlds of Control. These Words are commands that can instantly paralyze or inflict pain, ensuring their obedience and preventing rebellion. Their Kill Word puts purebred beasts into an uncontrolled frenzy state in which they become impossible to stop until they die or kill their opponent.

Purebred beasts, as well as all the other types of slaves, are marked by intricate tattoos on their necks. These tattoos serve as both identifiers and symbols of their subjugation.

Lion of Zarall: A Case Study

Lion, the central character of our series, is a prime example of a purebred beast. Known formally as the Lion of Zarall, he is the King’s champion slave, with many victories under his belt. His journey is one of survival, self-discovery, and defiance against the conditioning that seeks to define his existence.

Lion’s interactions with key characters like Saradra and Olira challenge his ingrained obedience and spark a desire for freedom and identity. His story highlights the inner turmoil and emotional depth that can exist even within the most conditioned of warriors.

Join this story of a purebred beast as he nurtures that spark of desire for freedom to a raging fire. Read the sample chapters of Lion of Zarall here.
